{Food} Brunch - Canopy Garden Dining @ Bishan Park

It's been a long while since I last had brunch on weekends, especially on Sundays. This is because I normally sleep till late on Sundays after partying the night away or staying out chilling with my friends till late on Saturday nights.
Well, not this time! I met my ex-colleague Sharon last Sunday for brunch and  coffee. We headed to Canopy at Bishan Park. As expected, it was quite crowded when I reached the place around noon. Luckily, Sharon had reached earlier and got us a table.

I'm usually quite indecisive when it comes to food as everything on the menu looks so delicious to me! But my stomach was growling, so after quickly scanning through the Brunch Menu, I settled for the all-in-one breakfast while Sharon ordered the Eggs Benedict.

After waiting for about 25 mins, our food finally arrived!

Grilled Breakfast
(The all-in-one breakfast with roasted tomatoes, sauteed mushrooms, grilled bacon, hash brown, sausages, salad, toast & scrambled eggs)

The serving portion was pretty decent as you can see from the photo. The sauteed mushrooms were my favorite. They were a little salty and slightly crispy! They tasted almost like the grilled "Lok Lok" mushrooms I had in JB! The scrambled eggs were nice but a little overcooked on the inside. I would have preferred them to be more runny. The side dishes were all right. Overall, I still found the meal worthwhile for the price of $18 (if I didn't remember wrongly).

Eggs Benedict Classic
(Poached eggs on english muffins with cooked ham, salad & their signature hollandaise sauce)

The Eggs Benedict looked simple. It was served with garden salad on the side. I loved watching the egg yolk oozing out when I cut it half open! I don't really like egg yolk - but this, I could eat all day, every day. And the best part? It doesn't hurt your wallet because it's only $14.

Here are photos of us taken before we tucked in! Apologies for the blurry shots as they were cropped out from the collage that Sharon made!

All in all, if you are looking for a place away from town surrounded by nature, Canopy is the right place for dining all day long.

We went for a walk in the park after brunch and found a nice background for my OOTD! If you have not read my post about shirt dresses for a brunch date,  you can still read it here

I saw this swing at a small playground! Couldn't help but swing on it! It brought  back childhood memories.

I would certainly revisit Canopy for brunch and try their dinner as well next time. Once again, thanks so much for reading my posts. I will keep you all posted on my next dining recommendation!

Here's the address for Canopy if you would like to visit!
